First edition; 52 leaves (complete); gathered in 12 quires of 4 leaves and 2 quires of 2 (the first and the last), leaves 2 and 4 non existent, foliation and signatures marked both with Hebrew letters and Arabic/Roman numerals (misnumbered), with catchword only at the end of each gathering (except the first one containing the two preliminary leaves), woodcut on title with printer's mark (Yaari 25), owner's inscription on title, two tiny wormholes through first 35 leaves occasionally affecting single letter, several inner margins at the beginning and end strengthened without loss of text, some soiling and staining, 19th Century calf backed marbled paper boards, excellent condition, final leaf signed in Latin and dated by the censors Dominico Irosolimitano in 1597 and Gio[vanni] Dominico Caretto in 1618, without censorship of text.

This anonymous work has been mistakenly attributed to Eliezer ben Nathan of Mainz (known as RaBaN c. 1090 - c. 1170) under whose name the second edition was published (Rödelheim 1804).
