I: London, Wednesday, 29 July 1775 (30 Sivan 5535).
Parchment, rectangular, 222 x 173 mm. Black ink, Ashkenazic square script. Soiled and with three folds, not affecting the text.
Groom: Jacob ben Gabriel; bride: Frumit bat Elieser Lipman.
Witnesses: Moses Josef Judel, first shammash, and Jacob bar Levi, second shammash in the London community.
The historical value of this ketubbah from 1775 lies in the fact that the Chief-Rabbi's office marriage records go back to 1845 only and the Great Synagogue's to 1791.
II: London, Wednesday, 26 March 1845 (17 Adar II 5605).
Parchment, rectangular, 36.2 x 24.1 mm. Black ink. Basic text of the ketubbah printed. Only slightly soiled, a small defect in the upper margin, far outside the image, four folds. Groom: Jacob ben Moses ha-Kohen; bride: Esther Bat Elieser Lipman.
III: London, Wednesday, 18 March 1846 (20 Adar 5606).
Parchment, rectangular, 36.2 x 24.1 mm. Black ink. Basic text of the ketubbah printed. A few stains, four folds.
Groom: Jacob ben Chayyim Dov; bride: Brayne (?: bryyn') bat Elieser [Lipman].
Nos. II and III have an identical engraved border according to a well-known Ashkenazic model, also in vogue in Amsterdam. (3)
