Comparable in handling to the drawing in the Kupferstichkabinett, Leipzig (J.G. van Gelder, Jan van de Velde 1593-1641, tekenaar - schilder, The Hague, 1933, no.54, fig. 57), a watercolour in the Municipal archives, Haarlem (J.G. van Gelder, op.cit., no. 50, fig. 71) and to the landscape from the Van Regteren Altena collection, sold in these Rooms, 12 Nov. 1990, lot 71 (J.G. van Gelder, op.cit., no. 15, fig. 70), now in the British Museum
