Objects by Anneke Schat were exhibited at the first international exhibition of contemporary jewellery of living artists in the Boymans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam, in 1965.

Work of the artist is included in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.

Lot Essay

Anneke Schat (born , Holland), studied at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam from 1959 untill 1964.
In 1985 she settled as an independent goldsmith in Amsterdam. Throughout the turbulent sixties she went her own way, her main inspiration coming from nature and often resulting in the use of rough cristals.
