A SPHERE-SHAPED SILVER-GILT TEAPOT
bearing initials in cyrillic V.A., Moscow, 1769, assaymaster Alexei Polosov

On plain spreading circular foot, the body chased and engraved on either side with floral, rocaille and C-scroll cartouches centred with birds, further decorated to the base of the shell capped curved spout and plain wooden handle with foliage C-scrolls and rocaille, the flat lift-off cover with similar decoration and with baluster finial - 14cm high (433gr)
