A PAIR OF FINE OVAL TUREENS AND UNDER DISHES

The oval under dishes with spreading rims each engraved on either side with a coat-of-arms ecuolée and decorated with a gadrooned rim, the tureens each on raised oval foot decorated with a beaded band, the bodies engraved around the base of the foot with a band of leaves below stippled ribbon swags in high relief, the upper rims each engraved with a band of flower heads over matted fields, within alternating square and rectangular panels and with a further beaded band above, the sides with moulded and engraved rams heads and drop-hoop handles, the tented covers partly matted and fluted and cast above with foliage in relief, and with bud finials - 28cm wide (3783gr) (2)
