This shows Akbar's mausoleum and a detail of the cenotaph.
The mausoleum of the Emperor Akbar was completed by his son Jahangir in 1613. This was one of the most inventive examples of Mughal architecture and shows a departure from the domed structure enclosing a cenotaph and consists of terraces ornamented with kiosks, surmounted by a marble terrace with the cenotaph open to the sky
