Lucy Hargreaves was a sporting artist specialising in the depiction of horses, sheep and cattle. She lived in Wales, Shropshire and North London at various stages through her life and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery, The Royal Cambrian Academy, The Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin and The Royal Scottish Academy
