AN ENGLISH PORCELAIN BOTANICAL HARLEQUIN DESSERT-SERVICE
Circa 1840

The centres painted with specimen flowers within gilt scroll wells, the borders decorated with printed and over-painted flowers within scroll cartouches on different coloured grounds, within yellow and gilt scroll-moulded rims, comprising two high comports (one restored), four low comports (one with crack to foot, one with wear to blue enamel at border), and twelve plates (one with two cracks, general wear to gilding and slight crazing to glaze)
