The tapering claret-ground ogee-shaped body painted with two jockeys neck-and-neck at a finishing-post within a gilt trefoil cartouche outlined with gilt grapevine, flanked by two white and gilt entwined-branch-moulded handles, the reverse inscribed in gilt St. George's Races; September 21st. 1868, within a gilt cartouche of ribbon-tied wheat and strawberries, the cover with a white and gilt strawberry finial within a border of gilt vine, on a spreading circular foot (minor crazing and staining to glaze), 1868
