Lot Essay

cf.R. Liefkes, Glaswerk uit drie Utrechtse kastelen, p. 43 ill. 15 for a very similar goblet with cover.

Several goblets with covers of this shape are known which are unfortunately all crazed (ziek). R.J. Charleston ascribed them to the glass factory of Bonhomme in Liège (Southern Netherlands)
