Posssibly made during the artist's stays in England in 1766 and 1775. A comparable watercolour is in the Rijkspentenkabinet, Amsterdam (L.J. Bol, Aart Schouman, Ingenious Painter and Draughtsman, Doornspijk, 1991, p. 24, fig. 24), which is dated 1766 and of comparable size.
