Lot Essay

This Dordrecht artist is best known for his night pieces with candlelight. He was the master of Gillis Smak Gregoor, Martinus Schouman and Abraham Teerlink. A comparable drawing is in the Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (inv.no. MvS371)
