TWO MONUMENTAL GILTMETAL-MOUNTED SÈVRES-PATTERN BLEU DE ROI TAPERING OVIFORM VASES AND COVERS Painted by J. Pascault, circa 1900
One painted after Rouget with Le Marriage, the other painted after David with Le Sacre, the reverses painted with named views of Fontainebleau and La Malmaison, within oval gilt bands outlined with berried wreaths of laurel flanked by gilt flaming torches, the flared necks and spreading bases gilt and silvered with Imperial emblems, mounted with pineapple finials, beaded shoulders and on beaded square bases cast with leaf paterae (covers repaired, wear to gilding), signed, covers with imitation gilt Sèvres script marks
