This group represents the Dutch literary ladies Betje Wolff (1738-1804) and Aagje Deken (1741-1804) who got to know each other in 1876. Their epistolary-style novel, originated in England, made them famous. Their most well-known work, without doubt is the 'Historie van Mejuffrouw Sara Burgerhart' (1782).
