The cupboard door decorated in raised gilt and colours with figures, buildings and flowering branches mounted with shaped and engraved brass hinges, lockplate and angles enclosing three later mahogany-lined drawers, the stand with a lacquer-panelled drawer, on square tapering legs joined by an X-shaped stretcher, the base of the cabinet with Chinese character mark, the drawer of the stand with printed label SIR JAMES HORLICK 601, the stand with label inscribed in ink 93 Eaton Place Mrs H Sitting R, the panels of the stand formerly the drawer fronts of the cabinet interior and reconstructed in Holland
