A CIRCULAR COVERED SUGAR BASIN AND AN OVAL SWING-HANDLED BASKET
the former by Grachev, with Imperial warrant mark, the other with maker's mark in Cyrillic V.A, both Moscow, circa 1880
The first with plain and slightly tapering walls, the handles to each side with banding, the flat lift-off cover with bone-mounted loop-handle, the basket engraved around the sides with flower sprays, rocaille and trelliswork, with plain rim foot and swing-handle, both with gilt interior - the former 10cm high, the latter 23cm long (1047gr) (2)
