A PSEUDO-RAEREN JAN EMENS STONEWARE DATED ARMORIAL SINGLEHANDLED JUG (Wappenkrug), the brown-glazed flattened globular jug applied with three large circular coat-of-arms, two with the coat-of-arms of W.E. von Bassen, depicting a squire on horseback surrounded by elaborate mantling and dated 1594, inscribed I.E. probably for Jan Emens, the central coat-of-arms depicting a large peacock surmounting mantling and an escutcheon with another peacock, inscribed 1594, C and K, with cylindrical ribbed neck, with loop handle (a chip to the neck)
