The present drawings are part of a series of 60 views of cities in the southern Netherlands and France in the same technique and with similar inscriptions attributed to Peeters which was exhibited in 1987 in Amsterdam by Gebr. Douwes Fine Art, Travelling Sketches By Jan Peeters. A View of Coucy from this series is dated 1651. Another drawing from this group was sold in these Rooms, 25 November 1992, lot 532
