Comparable in handling and subject to a drawing signed and dated 1657 in the Witt Collection, London, (M. Roethlisberger-Bianco, Cavalier Pietro Tempesta and his Time, Delaware, 1970, p. 99. no. 145, illustrated), and to a landscape formerly in the Perman Collection, Sotheby's Mak van Waay, Amsterdam, 9 June 1975, lot 146, illustrated p. 185. Mulier is known to have lived in Antwerp in 1655 or 1656 before leaving for Italy where he died in 1701
