Nijenrode was first mentioned in 1242, burnt down in 1481, rebuilt by 1527, and by 1632 looked much as it does after more recent restoration. It was burnt and rebuilt in the 17th Century, and reconstructed in the Tudor style, shown in the present lot in 1860, when owned by W.H. de Heus. It is now owned by the Stichting Nijenrode NOIE, an economic institute
