Immerzeel records, see De Levens en Werken van Hollandse en Vlaamsche Kunstschilders etc., 1842, p. 328, Prey, who was born in Prague and was to travel to Dresden and Frankfurt came to Rotterdam circa 1770. There he became member of the artists' society Hierdoor tot Hoger and was active mainly as a teacher (see E.B.M.
