struck with spurious Russian marks, probably Germany, last quarter of 19th Century

On scrolling foliate legs and with a scroll rim, the body pierced and chased in the Rococo Revival style with trelliswork, flowers and foliage incorporating two vacant cartouches, the elaborate scroll handles applied with putti and garlands of flowers, fitted with a clear glass liner with bevelled edge and star-cut base - 52cm wide (1643gr free)
