A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE THIMBLE painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt with a continuous band of Orientals at various pursuits, seated at tables, taking tea and before vases and utensils, a child playing with a monkey and with a bird among flowering shrubs and a fence on a terrace, the biscuit upper part with indentations and the apex with a flower, the lower rim scalloped and the interior richly gilt (slight rubbing to lower rim), circa 1735
