After the picture in a Dutch private collection, on panel, 72.5 x 59 cm, which is said to be signed by Rembrandt and dated 1637. The attribution was accepted by Hofstede de Groot (C. Hofstede De Groot, A Catalogue Raisonné etc., 1915, VI, no. 344) and Bredius (A. Bredius, Rembrandt Gemälde, 1935, no. 210), but the picture is omitted altogether from the relevant volume (III) of the Rembrandt Research Project. A version was in a private collection in London in 1959 (photo in the R.K.D., The Hague)
