A MEISSEN CELADON-GROUND CHINOISERIE PEAR-SHAPED COFFEE-POT AND DOMED COVER, one side painted with an Oriental painting a vase and a seated lady admiring it, a child behind her before a spindly tree, the other side with a seated dignitary before a low table with vases and bowls of fruit and a servant carrying a pouch within double gilt line quatrefoil panels, the ground reserved with an insect, the scroll handle with trailing purple indianische Blumen and the spout and rims richly gilt (two slight chips to spout and top rim), blue crossed swords mark, Dreher's X, circa 1735
