Zur Ludeiski was financed and produced by Constantine Constantinovitch, second son of Grand Duke Constantine Nicholaievitch. Members of the family and friends took part in this production. The inscription on the title page is from Elizabeth, Princess Saxe-Altenburg, wife of Constantine.
