A late 19th Century scrimshaw decorated whales tooth
incised with a compass star flanked by floral cartouches above becalmed whaling ship and banner date reading '1875'; together with a decorated walruss tusk depicting a whaling scene amongst ice bergs with seal looking on, to the left (narrow end) a ships portrait surmounted by knotted fouled anchors and laurels below
