A finely finished, fully planked and rigged scale 1:60 model of King Louis XIV's galley La Réale de France

with masts, lateen rig with stitched and rope-bound sails with reefing points, standing and running rigging, the finely shaped hull with thirty oars either side, aft cabin, boarding steps, purple flags and drapes and extensive gilded decoration and fleur-de-lys, finished in white and blue and mounted on a painted cradle stand
