Rectangular casket with shaped corners, resting on four scrolling feet, the sides, base, and obverse and reverse of the cover incrusted with hunting scenes in chased and engraved gold, the borders engraved and inlaid with gold scrolls, the interior with a removable mother-of-pearl compartment engraved on the base, containing a knife with gold-incrusted mother-of-pearl handle, another instrument and two gold-mounted bottles for ink and salt, set with gold-encrusted mother-of-pearl panels and with engraved gold caps --74 mm high, minor damage
