Rectangular box, the lid inset with the crowned initial of Tsar Alexander I of Russia (1777-1825) in diamonds, surrounded by four other diamonds, on a rectangular guilloché panel coated with translucent blue enamel, the base and sides with panels of a pattern consisting of engine-turned concentric circles, all borders decorated with trailing flowers enamelled in opaque blue, on matted bands of gold -- 74 mm long
