Rectangular étui-à-tablettes, the panels on both sides enamelled in translucent blue on a guilloché ground and scattered with gold star paillons, the sides of the cover inscribed with diamonds "Souvenir D'amitié", the sides of the base set with oval enamel miniatures depicting young amorous ladies in antique costumes, the miniatures and panels framed by sablé bands with stripes of white enamel beads interwoven with translucent green enamelled trailing foliage; inside tablets and a pencil -- 84 mm high, one side with minimal chip to blue enamel
