Rectangular casket, the orange agate panels mounted in a pierced and chased cagework of foliage, scrolls and exotic birds, the cover edged with a gold inscription on a white enamel band: "VOTRE AMITIÉ FAIT MA SEULE FÉLICITÉ", the interior with a mirror in the cover, the base containing tablets, a pencil, two glass scent-bottles with chased gold caps, a folding knife, steel tweezers with incorporated nail-file, a bodkin with ear-spoon finial, a gold spoon and three instruments for cutting a writing plume -- 62 mm high, minor damage
