A SILVER-GILT TROMPE L'OEIL KVASS JUG

Baluster-shaped, chased to simulate woven birchwood strips, applied with a young peasant playing a flute and a maid with animals, against continuous repoussé rural scene, on plain circular base, the cover simulating a cloth surrounding corn ears, with angular handle, the raised stand chased to simulate basketwork on four ball feet.
