Composed of a single baroque pearl, the gold head, tail and legs, partly set with diamonds, chased and varicolour enamelled to imitate feathers - 7 cm high

Such a rather unusual workmanship can be easily related to a flamingo standing upon on one leg which was produced by Fabergé workshop which was also designed with a single baroque pearl is used to compose the body, see A. Kenneth Snowman, Carl Fabergé, Goldsmith to the Imperial Court of Russia, London, 1983, p. 43.
