In a letter dated 8 May 1995, Vidar Poulsson writes of 'the general character of [this work] suggests the stay at Quimperlé in Bretagne in 1901, although a work from the river Arques in Normandy about 1897 cannot be excluded'.

Vidar Poulsson has authenticated this lot on the basis of a photograph.
