A GOLD BANGLE St. Petersburg, circa 1880, with unrecorded initials A*S
The band chased and engraved with treilling ivy, with a miniature daguerotype portrait of Nicholas I, within a crown of thorns-mounted on simulated wood cross.
Provenance
By family descent, from Grande Duchess Alexandra Petrovna (1838-1900) wife of Grand Duke Nicholas Nicholaevich the elder. The bracelet was either a gift from Dowager Alexandra Feodorovna (widow of Nicholas I) to his daughter in law or port of the inheritance of the Dowager who died in 1860.
