THREE SATSUMA BOWLS
Decorated in gilt and various coloured enamels, the first with variously shaped panels containing ladies, warriors and courtiers, inscribed on the base Dai Nihon Teikoku no Bijutsu Satsuma-yaki, Bunka 7, Go-gatsu, Shimo-tsuki, Hattori Shoten sei Gosuido Kojo, 15.2cm. diam.; the second with a continuous band depicting Seven Gods of Good Fortune, Rakan and numerous karako at leisure, the interior with warriors on the shore and women and townsmen in shaped panels, signed Ranzan zo, 12.2cm. diam.; and the last similarly decorated, signed Ranzan sei, 12cm. diam., (all with slight gilt rubbing), all late 19th century (3)
