The case, inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a sea bream among aquatic plants in gold hiramakie, the reverse with a chrysanthemum in iroe and gold takamakie, the sides with a continuous band with karakusa pattern in brown takamakie, the black lacquer interior with signature Chohei and a seal, (some old damage), early 19th century, an ebony and metal ojime of an aubergine and an umimatsu netsuke modelled as a bamboo bucket carved with tigers
