The broad blade honzukuri, koshi-zori with o-gissaki, hada obscured, midare hamon, midare-komi boshi, a stylised dragon and ken horimono on the shinogi-ji of the omote, a bonji on the ura, ubu nakago (cleaned), probably Bizen school, 16/17th century, 66.5cm., in an ishimeji black lacqure saya, en suite black lacqured brass mounts with foliage in reserve, gilt dragon menuki, with a leather service cover for the saya
