Neither Krieger (1965) nor Lehuard (1989) reproduce a figure with a similar coiffure (of crescent form with inset upholstery nails) amongst the numerous illustrations in their extensive works. Nor is a figure illustrated with inset bamboo sections within the fetish material, but the present figure does have certain similarities to the Manyamga figure illustrated by Lehuard on page 444 - the Manyanga being related to the Yombe.
