LEONARDUS DE UTINO (d.1470). Sermones de sanctis. Nuremberg: Anton Koberger, 22 January 1478.
Royal 2° (401x280mm). Collation: [110 2-38 410 58 66 78 810 9-108 116 128 1310 148 156 16-178 186 1910 20-218 2210 23-268] (1/1r blank, 1/1v list of sermons, 1/2r prologue, 12v text, 26/7v colophon, 26/8 blank). 212 leaves. 50 lines and headline, double column. Type: 3:110aG (text), 4:160G (headlines). 4- to 14-line initial spaces left blank. (Very light soiling in final quire, lower margin of 5/3 browned, pressed, small erasure on final page affects one letter.) French late 18th-century speckled calf over pastepaper boards, gilt spine, marbled endleaves (slightly worn, corners bumped). Provenance: Late 18th-century note on rarity and date (incorrectly written as 1446) in French, followed by later corrective note.
The last six lines of the colophon are missing from this copy. Rather than being a variant in printing, however, they seem to have been erased and then written over with a note in French on the rarity of this edition, giving the date as 1446, i.e. repeating the date of the text, not its printing, as it appears in the extant first section of the colophon. HC *16134; BMC II, 415 (IC. 7164); Goff L-159; Polain(B) 2481; IDL 2919; IGI 5741; BSB L-114
