Super-chancery 4° (209 x 151mm). Collation: a-g8 (a1r blank, a1v large woodcut of globe, a2r text, g7v verse address to the reader by Sentinus, g8 colophon, g8v blank). 56 leaves. 33-34 lines. Type: 4/5:90(84)R, 6:70G, 7:61G, spaces for Greek (sometimes filled by the contemporary annotator). 5-line initial spaces with printed guide-letter, ornamental woodcut initials in several sizes, woodcut diagram of a sphere and 47 woodcuts in the text. (Some very light, marginal staining, hole in centre of first leaf neatly repaired, a1.8 rehinged.) Plum morocco, blindstamped decoration on covers, by Douglas Cockerell, signed and dated 1903. Provenance: contemporary annotations on the spheres and zodiac, including drawing of a globe on first blank, in a italic hand; G. Storck, Milan 1903 (inscriptions); C.W. Dyson Perrins (booklabel, sale 17 June 1946, no.147).
