8° (200 x 120mm). 6 engraved folding plates of table settings. (Occasional very light spotting, plates slightly creased, two with clean tears.) Contemporary sheep (rubbed, joints cracked but firm). Provenance: Fanshawe (signature).

Third edition, internally in clean condition. The first edition was published in 1733, and the second in 1736, although in some copies this is described as the third. La Chapelle claims, on the title page, to have been chef to the Earl of Chesterfield, and "now Chief Cook to his Highness the Prince of Orange", but Maclean's researches have shed some doubt uopn the latter claim.
