Everton having been relegated at the end of season 1929-30 for the first time, succeeded the following season in regaining promotion to Division One with 61 points. James "Ginger" Dunn is perhaps best remembered as being one of the 1928 "Wembley Wizards". Dunn joined Everton in April 1928 from Hibs where he had been a Scottish Cup Runner-Up on two occasions (1923 and 1924). Dunn is remembered as an Inside-Right, who by all accounts appeared frail but who was a very hard worker with a powerful shot. He died on 20th August 1963.
