The 1945-46 F.A. Cup, being the first final since the outbreak of W.W.II is recorded as being the only occasion where the Runners-Up, in this case Charlton Athletic F.C., were presented with two medals. Due to the shortage of gold at the time Charlton were presented with bronze medals on the day of the final. They were later issued with gold medals when available. Derby County defeated Charlton Athletic 4-1 after extra time. The above medal is possibly one of the original Runners-Up badges
