Thomas Muirhead joined Rangers from Hibernian in May 1917, retiring in 1930 after a brief spell as Player/Manager of Boston F.C. in the U.S.A. He returned to the game as St. Johnstone's Manager in June 1931 where he stayed in this capacity until April 1936. He then joined Preston North End as Secretary/Manager until May 1937. During his career at Rangers he made over 350 appearances, scoring 49 goals.
