The above lot is being offered for sale by a relation of Andrew Thomson, Third Lanark F.C.. However, from further investigations this collection may also represent the career of another Andrew Thomson of Arthurlie. The Third Lanark Thomson gained his only International cap against Wales, 1889. He also recorded one Scottish League appearance and twice played for Glasgow against Sheffield. The Arthurlie Thomson gained his only International appearance against Ireland, 1886. He is also recorded playing for Arthurlie in the Renfrewshire District.
