CAST FROM A MODEL BY ANTONIO MONTAUTI, 1708

The obverse inscribed 'FRIDERICVS.IIII.DANIAE.ET.NORVEG.REX.' and signed 'A. MONTAVTI'; the reverse depicting a recumbent river god representing the Arno before a view of Florence, inscribed 'FELICISSIMO.ADVENTVI.FLORENTIAE. .A.M.DCC.VIII. IDIBVS.MARTIIS.'.
Areas of the surface abraded to create a coppery gold colour; drilled with a hole at top centre.

Brown patina; drilled with a hole top centre.
