A Georgian mahogany and chequer lined longcase clock, the moulded cornice above a dentilled frieze fitted with an arched glazed door enclosing a brass dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed in the arch Mitchell & Son, Gorbals, and flanked by spirally turned pillars, the case fitted with a rectangular crossbanded and chequer lined trunk door flanked by spirally turned canted demi column angles, the panelled base on later ogee bracket feet, 83ins high (211 cms)
